Game style

Roguelike

One life, one random dungeon, and nothing comes with you when you die.

Named after Rogue, a dungeon crawler from 1980, this style is built on two hard rules: the dungeon is random every run, and death erases everything. Every run is a fresh puzzle, and every step is a decision.

The rules

  • Every run generates a fresh, random dungeon.
  • One life. Death restarts you from nothing: that is permadeath.
  • Often turn-based: the world only moves when you move.
  • Knowing HOW to play is the only thing you keep between runs.
