Our Commitment
Teachify is committed to improving accessibility across our platform. We use WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our guiding standard and are actively working to better serve all users, including those with disabilities.
What We Support Today
Semantic Structure
- Pages use semantic HTML elements including navigation landmarks, main content regions, and proper heading hierarchy
- All images include descriptive alt text
- Form fields on account setup and administrative pages are associated with labels
Keyboard and Focus
- Core UI components (buttons, inputs, dialogs, dropdowns) support keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators
- Custom interactive elements such as vocabulary cards and assessment problems include keyboard handlers
Device Compatibility
- The platform is designed to work on Chromebooks, tablets, and desktop computers
- Responsive layouts adapt to different screen sizes
- No plugins or additional software are required
Areas We Are Working to Improve
We are actively addressing the following areas:
- Some pages do not have skip-to-content navigation links
- Certain components remove default focus indicators without providing visible replacements
- Toast notifications and loading states may not be announced to screen readers
- Some status indicators rely on color alone (such as red, yellow, and green progress states) without supplementary text or icons
- Some secondary text may not meet minimum contrast ratios on light backgrounds
- A small number of UI labels use text sizes below 12px
- Animations do not currently respect the prefers-reduced-motion system setting
- The code editor has limited screen reader support for certain advanced features
