Game style

Platformer

Run and jump across a side-view world where gravity is the main enemy.

The platformer is the style most people picture when they hear "2D game". You see the world from the side, gravity never stops pulling, and the whole game lives in the space between where you jumped from and where you land.

The rules

  • The camera looks at the world from the side.
  • Gravity pulls down constantly; jumping only fights it for a moment.
  • Pits and missed jumps are the main way to fail.
  • Levels mostly run left to right, and reaching the end is winning.
